Just a few comments on the poll.
The question about how long we have been playing runescape... I've only just noticed this time around that the options actually change. This poll the options were 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, or >6. Last time, or more accurately last year, the greatest option was >5. I only know this because I was personally right on the edge of being <5 last year, and this year I am therefore logically just <6. I am wondering partially what happened at this very specific time within a year before I started that makes Jagex decide that this is when the 'true veterans' started playing runescape (as having played for over 5 years now I would consider myself a veteran...).
I would also like to point out that I think this poll shows a lot about how your players feel about your game... the biggest reason that we return as of this point is because we feel we have invested so much time into our accounts already. I think this should mean 2 things to you:
Firstly, that updates which make accomplishing things significantly faster are a big problem. NO MORE DOUBLE XP WEEKENDS, etc... I mean honestly... if the biggest reason for us to return is because we feel we've spent sooooo much time on our avatar, don't you think that devaluing that time is one of the easiest ways to make these players finally decide to quit? It's perfectly fine to make things slightly easier, a game must evolve... but limit it.
Secondly, I think this result means that you need to do something to REWARD these players who have spent so much time on their accounts. I know many lower levels feel that there is so much high level content already, but tbh there is sooo much mid level content that low levels see as high level because they haven't reached it yet. There is almost no high level content at all in this game. Just throw in some end-game content... I would sooner see a year with 26 no update weeks, 20 weeks of low-mid level updates, and 6 weeks of elite updates than 40 weeks of mid level updates
