i enjoy finishing up quests! thats one of the main reasons i play runescape, another one is because i don't really have much else to do after i run in the morning (summer break can be very boring too!)

It's nice for passing the time and meeting people, but it's not for continuous grinding - everyone has a real, more important life!

If there's one thing RuneScape has none of for me it is immersion. It's down to many factors such as how social it is, the fact that it's a browser game and the way it varies based on your internet connection.

There's nothing wrong with this because it isn't why I play (I stay for my clan and for the sense of personal development), but I also don't feel that it is what RuneScape can or should try to be.

Feedback given, time for a cuppa

Question 4 seems to indicate that the sort of person who answers the poll tends to be the sort of person who has been playing runescape for quite a long time.

Guess that's the sort of thing you would expect.

My answers to 3 (in order that they are in results atm):
- Lot of time invested
- Kept fresh by regular updates
- Enjoy process of training my skills
- Fan of the lore, storylines and quests
- Friends etc.
- variety of stuff to do
- and the looks aspect of it :p

Good set of options to q3 - seemed to cover most things and very few people have said none of them.

Yep, I've played for over 6 years (a few days after the scythe was released), but i only have membership for the summer. My account is decent, ranked in top 100,000

Fascinating poll this week...

Instead of just answering the questions, it actually made me stop and ponder, specifically on why I actually keep playing this game (in my fifth year now).

I wonder if my answers today will be the same reasons I will still be playing in another five years time!!!
