There was a forum thread that asked this same question, although it also had Jas and some people it listed as false gods (such as Ivan, the Evil Chicken, and Bob the Cat). It kind of gave a sample of how this one is turning out, what with Guthix in the lead, followed by Zamorak, Zaros, and Saradomin several votes behind.

Little tip about them: Guthix is balanced, neutral, intelligent, and the most powerful of the main 3,
Zamorak is simply for evil and chaos,
and Saradomin, although he promotes good, is rather corrupt. Although Saradomin plays himself off as the good guy, he seems to want to subject all of RuneScape practically forcefully, if need be, to his rule, and he is perfectly fine with lying to everyone.

Also, don't forget the God Wars. Zamorak and Saradomin were the two most powerful gods left standing and their combat nearly destroyed RuneScape all those years ago. Guthix had to come in and stop him, and he saved Gielenor in doing so.

I can't really comment on the rest of the gods, but as far as those three, think carefully who you support. Especially with Saradomin. Don't be lured into that blind faith to a corrupt god under the impression that he is good.

Prifddinas..... You dare mention that, even after ignoring it for over 5 years!?!? I want in that dang crystal castle, Jagex! It's probably one (if not THE) longest standing unused location in runescape. The elven gate guards have been keeping me out since like 2005. I mean, it's not as if there appears to be much on the other side, just a big open field. But, I haven't been able to go in there since I started off on Tutorial Island! I voted for Seren, but if Guthix is sleeping somewhere, then it is likely under Prifddinas. He would never be bothered by a player or npc. Or a programmer. Or a developer.

There are some who insist, myself included, that Zaros is Bob the Cat ;) I will continue to believe this until Zaros himself(or a designated agent)specifically denies it!

I had a hard time choosing an answer, as I don't 'follow' any particular deity. My POH altar is decorated with Saradomin trappings, but thats just because I thought that Sara represented general all around decency. The truth is, I suppose, that the Gods arent as simple as that.

Another reason it was difficult is that I dont remember half of the 'odd gods'. There are certainly some on that list I would like to learn more of, including my ultimate choice, Zaros. That may have been a good 2nd question to ask; with the choices the same as question number 1, which God are you the most curious to learn more about? For me it would have been a toss up between Zaros and Seren.

Thanks again for considering our opinions! That last poll has inspired me to comment on polls more often, since I know where to find this thread now! Best wishes to the entire staff,

I didn't expect a poll on the runescape gods, I voted for guthix myself, because he's neither good or evil he just keeps the balence between them

and yeah far as i'm concerned bob the cat is zaros, while he's trying to slowly recover his power

Like the poll but it dosen't seem all that thought about where was the "and why do you like this particular god?" You could have had valuble insight into the minds of players and what they think of the gods

Some options for this could have been
Because he/she/its the most powerful
Because he/she/its the most mysterious
Because I think he/she/its the coolest
Becasue I belive in the ideals of that god

And then another question nothing may have ever come from it but it's good to know the opinions of your players

If there were any god items to be released in the future what god would you like it to represent?

And then a list of the gods with a none option for those who don't want any god items in the future

I say this with the feeling that this poll was a wasted oportunity you could have done so much more with it :(
