The first did not include a reason. And while there is no rule requiring a reason, including one provides more discussion value. Not including one can come across as a troll or throw away comment, looking like no thought was put into it. This is what seems to have provoked the negative reaction and personal attack by another user, which was also hidden.

Also, unlike threads in a suggestion forum, threads in the Rants Forum tend to be more about blowing off steam or having a good moan, rather than proposing ideas or solutions, and therefore they are not really looking to collect "support/no support" posts from others. Telling a user who is already frustrated, "No support" when they weren't even asking for support, has the potential to escalate their frustration, as it did in this instance.

Your second post did include a reason, but it also partially quoted and was a reply to the other user's reaction post. As the post you were replying too was no longer visible, there was no longer a need for a reply post, so it was removed as well.
