Although the trade is imbalanced, the fact remains that the author of the thread
is
trading one item for another. As such, these "paperclip trade" threads are permitted in the forums. The thread has been moved to a more suitable forum, due to the nature of its content.
1. No. You may not use a macro/bot to automatically bump a thread.
2. Bumps are only to be used to keep a thread near the front pages of the Forum in which they are posted. Bumping a thread that is already on Page 1 of a forum is considered excessive and spam.
Also, it is preferred that a thread author use the bump button to bump his or her thread, rather than making a bump post, as that makes it much easier to find the actual content in a thread without having to weed through all the bump posts. If bump posts are used, they should not be made more frequently than the use of the bump button would allow, which is once every 10 minutes, nor should they be used if the thread is already on Page 1of a forum.
