Your thread serves a very similar purpose to another. It's not about your thread being competition, it's about whether it needs to exist. On this occassion I see no reason for it.
As you've asked for clarity I'm happy to provide it here, overruling Mod Poerkie's previous statement:
Threads should aim to be unique and original, lest we see several imitations popping up that ultimately achieve the same goal. This is not to forbid competition but to limit clutter. If a thread is considered to be copying another it is up to the discretion of the F-Mod and the J-Mod team to determine whether it will remain open.
