Hi Kari,

Can I firstly thank you for shining a light on my thread in last week's news post. It meant a lot to have it mentioned alongside some of the other fantastic work by others for the wider community to view. I see some people here nominated it, so thank you to you too!

Reason it should be showcased:
This thread encourages people to share information about the game to keep the RS Wiki up to date and as accurate as it can be. Kings Abbot has done a good job with this thread, with an easy to follow layout, regular updates, and clear directions as to how the community can help. I think this thread should be spotlighted as it's geared towards the community itself helping the wider RuneScape community by providing them with a source of accurate information about the game.

Reason it should be showcased:
Rather than shine a light on an individual player's goals and achievements, I'd like to shine a light on the sub-forum as a whole. There's some fantastic threads in this area of the forums, and I think it would be great if more people could visit that area to support everyone's goals
and congratulate them on what they have achieved. Maybe new players, those returning or even veterans of the game would be inspired to create their own threads? Ultimately, this area of the forums has a great community feel, which should be showcased for more people to see.

Thank you for this thread and initiative - it's been long overdue for this type of thing to return! Quite a shame there was no forum spotlight this week though... :(


Anyway, my suggestion is for:

- One of the few threads on these forums which introduces players to the forums, explains it all in an easy to understand thread, and makes the forums fun by creating colourful signatures and threads.

I thought I'd cruise the Guides section, pick a nicely written guide, and share it here for the Forum Spotlight... but... man... the Guides section isn't what it used to be. It used to be full of all kinds of guides of various sorts... now it's all just people asking for help and reporting bugs, etc., with the occasional guide written a decade ago that has somehow survived over the years.

But, I did pick this one:

Reason for nomination:

If anything encapsulates the RuneScape community, it's this thread. Miss Misty and the UCoR team have put together a fantastic little thread, bringing together streamers and content creators from across the game. The fantastic thing is that it's in aid of SpecialEffect's GameBlast21 activities, an annual event that raises money for disabled gamers. Not only that, but the thread and event serve to raise awareness of the charity, something which is extremely positive and just as important as funding.

With GameBlast coming up, I think it would be nice to share this thread with the wider community. The team already has a number of confirmed streamers participating in the event, and the extra awareness will undoubtedly help them out, while hopefully increasing the funds raised by the event.

I have supported GameBlast and SpecialEffect's work for a number of years. It would be great if the thread was spotlighted!
