I understand why you reported the thread, though there is really no need to lock it. It can just be allowed to fall off the board organically. Also, while admittedly unlikely in this particular case, one can easily imagine a scenario in which an OP realises they have not actually resolved their issue and thus need to return and ask additional questions.
