@Jamandy52, granted that's quite an old thread but it seems to be generating a bit of nostalgia and occasional discussion in a pretty quiet section of the forums, so I don't think it's doing any harm at the moment.

If activity drops off again and it doesn't drop off the forums we can revisit it and see if a lock is needed.

@ Arch, re the snowboard thread, I agree but it's hard to choose where it should go, none of the other forum sections seem relevant either. I've left it for now but will discuss it.
