There's no need to create a duplicate of what you posted on the thread in question here. It seems to me that mask-wearing is itself related to the pandemic, so I personally don't see an issue with being on-topic there, though I agree that the discussion is skewed more towards that debate than the virus itself now. There's no need to target and call out specific FMods for participating in discussion.
As the creator of the thread, you have the right to request help with a lock or some such measure that can be provided here. Should that be the case, do let us know via the FH template.
