@ Ehden - That thread was last used to announce an FC hosted event four years ago. As the author has not been active since that time either, you would have no way of editing the new event information into the Next Event or Upcoming Events posts on the first page.

It would be much better promotion for your event, once you have one planned, to start a new thread to advertise it, where the opening posts can be edited to reflect current information.
