@2_Tron - As the Authenticator app is generated by Google, using their algorithm, this isn't an issue on Jagex's side, and also sounds like it just may have been a bit of a hiccup on Google's end. Seems like there shouldn't be anything to worry about! Community Manager for Jagex

Although it looks like the OP has their answer, nobody has requested a lock yet, so there's no harm in leaving it open for now.
