@Arch, both those topics had posts as recent as October, which isn't that long ago.

That's a relatively quiet forum section and they're both interesting topics, so I'm going to leave them for now. If they get no replies then they can be looked at again.

Archaeox - The threads themselves are “timeless” - they haven’t gone out of relevance, and the author has chosen to contribute to both by keeping them relevant for the current day.

There is no need for them to be closed at this time, as the bumping was not done with malicious intent.

Apologies Arch, I misread them... but I do agree with AJ's post above.

The forums are so quiet at the moment that there's no harm having a couple of older threads revived if they're still relevant... and as I mentioned, they can always be locked if they don't generate any interest.

I'll confer about this and see what others think, but that's my take on it.
