Hi ItsFlashMF,

Jagex will never send you a message in game or through email about becoming a moderator.

They will also never tell you to go to a certain website.

All moderator invite messages are sent through the message centre.

When a Jagex Moderator Talks in game they will have a gold crown next to their name and the first part of their name will always be Mod. If they do not have a gold crown then they are not a Jagex Moderator.

There is no form you can fill out to become a moderator. Jagex hand picks them based on your behavior in game and on the forums. More info can be found here .


If you have already visited that site you were provided. I highly suggest you scan your computer for malware and key loggers as going to that website could compromise the security of your account.

If you haven't already I suggest you set up Authenticator . This will give your account extra security. When you log into your account for the first time it will ask you for a code. You can find this code using the Authenticator app. Once you have the code simply type it in and you will log into your account.

Please do not visit the site, that the player referred you to in-game. It is designed to harvest your account details. The best thing to do now is to email Jagex at

with the details.

Should you find yourself in this situation again, please report the offender in-game for
Staff impersonation
and add him/her to your Ignore list.
