I'll agree that the thread wasn't suited for future updates. However I wouldn't say those 2 posts weren't technically derailing that thread. It was off the rails long before those 2. However they were the catalyst to what followed.

They edited their post to just a period and they haven't reported their concern to the proper sticky thread. So nothing to do there.

True probably not the best thing to do however read Tren's response on that thread. They quoted it and left some helpful tidbits.
