@ Kings Abbot - While it is preferred that a thread author uses the bump button rather than bump posts, there is no requirement that they do so. As long as the bump posts are not any more frequent than use of the button allows (once every 10 minutes) or excessive (more than is necessary to keep the thread on page 1), bump posts are allowed, and do not require any moderator action.

To me, this seems like a scenario where it would be best to find another thread to post on rather than me taking any action. I can see where it would be frustrating, but I wouldn't really consider what the OP is doing to be rule-breaking. If they are not going to listen to others' opinions, the best thing to do is to simply ignore it and find another thread (or even create your own :) ) where everyone can participate in a positive, constructive discussion.
