Over 2 months late, because I read the original FAQ and had no need to go back and hunt for changes. I was expecting to be automatically added, as originally posted.

This year there is no need to post for access to the VIP forum – new users will be added to the forum on a weekly basis.
Yup. There was a master plan for an automated system to add everyone to the forum. It's unfortunately not worked out, so instead, Shauny and I are once again adding everyone one by one
I've updated the FAQ.

ps. The next time you make a change like that, please make an announcement so everyone that read the original knows about the change. Some of us have no need to scour every sub topic on every forum to look for surprises like this.
