My son has a rare chromosone disorder (trisomy 10q) and its because of charities like special effects that children like my sons lives are enhanced, my son is not anywhere near well enough for gaming, but im grateful that other children's lives are being enhanced by special effects and that our time spent gaming and making money in game can help causes like this, especially those that cannot afford to donate cash, to do it through you with in game money is just amazing, my son is helped by a similar charity but on a whole new level, my son needs stimuli via lights and sounds, and feelings vibrations ect, but i know how much of a difference having these available helps his life, and the parents are so greatfull too when a child finds an outlet, a relief from their pain even for just a short time!!

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing about your son.
I had children with disabilities too, one with type 1 diabetes from age 3 and another was dyslexic. So I do understand how hard it is. Its great when we are able to donate to charities like this which help kids. I know how grateful I was for the diabetes camp when my child was old enough to go as up to that point we had no way to get a break from looking after her as people are scared to take a child to stay with disabilities often and as a parent it can be scary to entrust your child with a disability to someone else. I was able to help a fellow mum with a younger diabetic child have a break for a weekend so they could go away for the weekend without their kids which I know she appreciated.

Awesome to hear that so much money was raised and will go to a great cause. Amazing job done by everybody who worked to put the event together!

I really enjoyed the 24-hour live stream yet again this year too. ^_^

and a thank you to all the JMods at gameblast for hosting a nice event and doing a good job of the live stream and helping to rised that much money, i have looked on the specialeffect website and it says gameblast event raised 171,340 this year :)

So jagex admits that their in game currency holds real life value, yet "don't buy gold". Jagex please fix your game to make it at least a little more enjoyable. I hate grinding and grinding. That's not fun.
