Taken from the front page "All the more reason to take out your easel, 3D graphics program or good old-fashioned pencil and paper to draw your clan's logo!".
So yes, just draw it, take a photo, then e-mail :) that's what I did.

I have a placement test for an advanced math test later today. It is 5:44 AM. I'm still up. I haven't studied. Why?
Because I've been making submissions all night.
An idea will come to me, and I MUST COMPLY!
* * * * *
Now; what would I like to see as far as clan support goes? I haven't read the first 20 pages of this discussion, so bear with me if I repeat some people.
For ALL of the Logos, whomever wins, I'd like to see the ability to customize the colors. Even better than that would be to have it set up so that one stamps preset images (from a LARGE Database, preferably) to create a Logo, again with color and size selection.
More importantly though I'd like to see the institution of Guilde Houses, Clan Halls, whatever you want to call them. I envision a system similar to the POH system, but with larger rooms (assuming a POH has rooms that are 1x1, I say 4x4 for the Guild Hall/Chamber/Whatever, with as large as 6x6 possible), with hallways and smaller rooms branching outward. It would be ideal if perhaps in these larger rooms we were able to place Corners as we currently do rooms, allowing for greater flexibility in size, shape, and function. Throw in the ability to have Bank access (Small chests at low level [ storing maybe 30 items], gradually increasing to a clan Treasury [size of a Player's Bank], and capping off with having actual Bankers for individual players. Clan leaders could set the permissions for different membergroups or members (Entries can only take out food, and only in single inventory loads per hour, for example). Give beds (In POH as well) the ability to more quickly restore Run energy (a la the OLD OLD OLD, now defunct "Fatigue" system), Gardens, Dungeons, workshops, smithies, teleportation chambers, large-scale arenas - All the things necessary for a TRUE Clan Stronghold. Give Clan Leaders full customization over membergroups - Name, permissions, etc., maybe have Guild Hall portals at prestigious locations (with great expense)-Out of C

Have Notice boards - a General one and the ability to set up secondary/tertiary ones for clan subsets, the ability to place large versions of the Clan Logo on the ground or on the walls, the ability to make formal alliances with other clans (and to display their flags in your hall), likewise the ability to formally set other clans as enemies (and display their captured flags in your trophy room)...Maybe even give the Clan leader the option of imposing taxes on the members? I can argue that one either way...On one hand it would be very useful for the Clan as a whole, and cut down on Loafers (optionally), but on the other hand it's somewhat invasive if a Clan has a 30% tax on all money made, or something equally heinously high *cough*mostoftheworld'sgovernments*cough*.
Maybe some Clan-beneficial spells (support spells of weak but broad effect - 5% bonus to attack for all clan members within 10 spaces, for example), perhaps some kind of ranking system between the clans of certain locations (thus if there was a Guilde Portal in Ardougne, the ranking would be the Top Ten Clans in Ardougne (Ranked a number of ways - by member count, total level, combat level, total wealth, Prestige (Victory/Loss ration), and Average per member versions of all of those, and certainly other possibilities that I am unable to think of now due to my extreme tiredness. Don't force Clans to have only One Guildhall; allow One per location. This adds SO much depth to the system, because it gives the opportunity for growth and expansion. Allow Guild Halls to be linked through teleportation portals, both to other halls of the same clan and to halls of allies (and if you want to REALLY add some depth, to enemy's as well - provided you have people with sufficient power within the opposing clan to actually set up the corresponding portal).
I've played Runescape since (I think) Late 2001-Early 2002. You can look at my skills and see how horrible they are for that amount of time...OoC

That was a bad place to leave a message hanging, eh?
My skills are mediocre. This is because 99% of the time I was playing Runescape (or consider myself to be "playing", even if not logged on) was BECAUSE of my Clan, which has survived for almost as long a time as I have played. We were never big, but we ALWAYS had fun - both with Clan events, and inter/intra-clan politics and intrigue.
I will NEVER get back the hundreds, perhaps THOUSANDS of hours I spent on various Instant Messenger services with Clan Members and Rival Leaders negotiating treaties, events, and the like - NOR WOULD I WANT THEM BACK!
But, less about me, more about The Clan System...
Of course allow Clan Standards, to be carried as are Flags in Castle Wars, bearing the Clan Logo. Additionally, give the ability to enchant these standards, so as to provide bonuses of various types to nearby clan-members or allies, and you're pretty much Golden. I'm sure I can come up with a squintillion other things, but what I've already listed is probably a six month project at the minimum, even with many of the mechanisms already in place in one way or another.
I tinker with the idea of allowing Clans to attack eachother's headquarters, But am at the moment against it because I think it would cause a lot of paranoia, requiring a lot of manpower to constantly be online to defend against possible assault...unless of course you implemented Traps and Golems and Hirelings/Mercenary NPCs, but that's getting ridiculously complex, even for me (though it wouldn't turn me off if that were implemented, mind). Give Clans the ability to associate with the different Churches of Runescape, thus becoming Orders of Paladins, or similar Setting-Interactive possibilities, and I guarantee that EVERYONE will want to join a clan, and make sure their clan is the Best it can possibly be.
Since I've been rambling for a good 45 minutes, I'm going to go to sleep, finally. I will, however, reserve the next two posts...Out of Character

I continue my rambles. Yes, I like the word "ramble" a lot.
Another idea that came to me that would be a great way to stir up short-term conflict between clans would be to have Resource Dungeons that clans can gain access to after reaching certain milestones. For example, when a clan gets 20 members with an average skill level of at least 1000, they gain access via a portal to a medium-large cavern with, say, 3 Mithril Rocks, 6 Iron rocks, and 9 Coal rocks. But they are not the *only* clan that has access to this location; in fact, all the clans within the area have access to it, and the clans can fight eachother in these caverns for dominion, a victory granting, say, one hour of unrestricted use for the clan and its allies. The losing clan(s) could still go to another world to try to find the cavern open, or wait the hour to try to wrestle control of the location from the victors. I imagine there would be some kind of mechanism to judge whether a clan gets access to a cavern with ores or a glade with trees or the like, Perhaps at the clan leader's discretion? Likewise, if I should fight for the mines and lose 30 times in a row (or not at all, for that matter), I should be given the option (as the clan leader) to tear the portal down and erect another one to another location, at the same cost as the first (or more or less if I choose a higher or lower level area).
Another idea that would be really awesome would be Clan Quests. Perhaps these aren't "quests" in the normal sense of the word, in that they give quest points and are required for the Quest cape (It would not be fair to require someone to join a clan to get the Quest cape), but are instead tasks that require a large number of people in order to accomplish them, and give rewards both to the individuals and to the clan as a whole. My "The Voyage of Sir Comfranze" would actually do very well in this regard, I think, as a higher level variant. A lower level example could be...stopping before Out of Characters

Another example could be, say, pushing back the Goblin tribes from the walls of Lumbridge Castle (kill 200 Goblins, group Slayer experience, etc), or stopping (or assisting) a thieves guild on the rise in Ardougne. In addition to providing material and experiential rewards, these Clan Quests or Tasks or whatever could award the clan Prestige Points, which could be used to unlock new themes, portals, quests, clan abilities, etc., and also serve as a record of the "general strength" of a clan.
Obviously it would be desirable to have the whole wardrobe of "clan equipment", which can be bought or made and consist of everything from clan uniforms which give no real bonuses (like a +1 to each defense stat for each of the pieces, for instance) to full platemail, robes, or dragonhide decorated in the logo of the clan and trimmed in the clan's colors (and a matching cape, of course!). Again, with the previously mentioned Clan Bank system, this would be very convenient, as such items could be stored en masse when not in use, saving the precious bank space of players for more important items, such as the Holy Grail.
Ah! Some kind of enlistment secretary that a Clan can hire; an NPC who will relay the recruitment requirements of the clan to would-be applicants (perhaps with a customizable message from the Clan Leader or one given the power by the Clan Leader), and will provide recruiters with a detailed and convenient list of the player's stats, quest points, and perhaps allow for a short message from the player as well.
With all of the power a Clan Leader has, it would be wise to provide a clan with some option of deposing them should they become drunk on their authority. And anyone who has been in a clan for more than six months knows this DOES happen, and while it can make things a lot of fun, it can also have just the opposite effect, and it would be best to not have the end-all authority in the hands of a potential madman - oust the leader instead of the Clan.
