in the old runescape there were no gravestones or anything to protect your items as they do now. When you died you had about 30 seconds of time to get your items back. If you didn't they would appear on the ground for another 30 seconds or so for anyone to pick back up.
If the wilderness is brought back the gravestones will block any pkers from receiving the items unless the person is skulled. Will this remove the gravestones from the game? If so then I will not be training anymore the risk of losing my items like the old pk system does not sound like a good idea.
Im against having old wildy/trade back
Old Wildy = Newer lower level players getting tricked into being killed ect...
New Wildy = Effective system to keep new players aware of the dangers of going into the wilderness
Old Trade = An easy way to transfer items between hacked/stolen accounts and higher possiblity of being hacked, yes you still have your bank pin, but it is definately not as safe
New Trade = An effective way to protect against Hackers, also helps block some of the newer players from asking for "Free St00f"
I hope this has persuaded you to vote No.
I will be sad to see these updates return to the game.

I have varied opinions on this. I would love free-trade and the wilderness reinstated, but the one problem I have with the wilderness being brought back is: If you are going into the wilderness to solo the KBD, fight monsters or do some adventuring with friends the players that hang around the wilderness area can be extremely annoying and most of the time will attack you.
Apart from that i would be delighted if free-trade and the wilderness was reinstated.
It would be great if there was 1-3 seperate worlds where no players could attack you in the wilderness and you could do whatever you liked without the worry of pestilent players continuously harrasing you every time they see you. :)

I hope the Grand exchange to still hold the maximum and minimum cap of items. Even if wilderness and free trade are put back in place.
Because only then would players have a guide to how much an item should be.
Example when Grand Exchange was not in runescape, law runes were sold at very high prices at varrock bank in world 1 for 1k each.

My vote is against.
I bet that quite a number of the guys that voted in favour are RTW'ers and botters. Why bring back the wilderness? Yeah, fun maybe, but you're asking for RTW'ers there. And free trading- I really liked to trade freely, but I can already see botters ruin the gaming experience again.
If you think you can prevent those two from ruining the game if you place it back, go on. But you're warned- botters and RTW'ers will strike again, and hard too. Not to think of those deceiving players luring helpless new players to the wilderness... :|

I love how many people dont want the wildy back for such reasons as luring, scamming and rwters...but in reality these people who are voting against wildy arent pkers themselves...tbh i personally believe that luring and other stuff in the wildy was part of the game... we all get scammed we just got to learn from it.. what we fail to see is that runscape is just a GAME...
item crashing....nooo not even lmfao i believe this was the funnist thing ever when i read... ITEMS WOULD RETURN BACK TO REGULAR PRICES!!...no more high level hoarding all the rares and whips...to influence market..rares wud drop back down to reasonable prices..why people dont want free trade back is simple...all there hoarded items and the price influences would cost them MILLIONS....
look personally im just being optimistic...i want old wildy back and freetrade but.. there are alot of dangers that come with it...soo my suggestion is jus increase drop pontential in current wildy.. tired of getting 30k loots off a 500k drop...its annoying...and free trade...should be reinstated...jus with more security measures. like showing reg g.e price...im jus sick of item price influtuations from higher levels who can afford to by like 1k of the item to influence the price.

Nice way to turn the pathetic weaklings that wannabe bullies arguments right back in their faces! They've all been calling present-day wildy "safe" and "carebearscape" all thread long. Revs were no challenge at all. But oh, no! Revs are just too scary for the big PKers. They might actually be able to fight back!
So glad I stuck around this long to see the people that think they "PWNed" us opponents (don't know if Solastic is an opponent or not) finally "PWN" themselves. Thanks for letting me leave this depressing thread with a smile.

If the wildy and trading system would return to their former state, i fear for the impact it will have on the runescape economy. There is no doubt that lots of bots will return; bots which 'steal' the resources that real players try to obtain and, especially, need to make money.
This might make it a lot harder in the future to make money, having to compete against bots.
i too miss the old days of pking and staked duelling, and i loved free trade. But i think the consequences of bringing this back will be too devastating.
