Tbh, I think most of the people complaining about the old wilderness coming back are dissappointed that they can't trick each other for gp, the wilderness was meant to be a dangerous place... If you can't survive nor see the BIG warning sign upon entering, too bad for you. Not to mention most of the player killers will be on one specific world, the rest you can usually teleport from, or easily get away.
On the other hand, RWT still exists, instead of bots every where, they bot your account for the gp, so in my opinion those that are going to rwt will do it anyways.

Still u dont need to do anything for cash now. Afk 1hour in wildy u get ep.U can trick with anyone ( *** channels ). Boom free cash. In old days u needed to work realy hard for like 1m. now everyone got 100mills.. sometimes u see lvl 90's with party hats and ****.Just merching. Not putted efford in it.

I think that if wilderness and free trade is to come back, we will see a tremendous change in the Runescape community-- a change to the worst. Such a radical change, good or bad, will be devastating to every player who is against this(people who voted no + a lot of the people who have not submitted a vote), and the runescape economy. Why should be allow the return of free trade? So that the rich people make up their own "street" prices for items, and take advantage of the poor? NO! The GE is probably up their as one of the best new features that entered Runescape. We all love it, and I think that a vast majority would hate to be guessing around, not knowing the actual price of an item, because these street prices change constantly, and are controlled mainly by the rich who will sell everything for the price THEY want. If Jagex comes through with this kind of update, they are rolling back Runescape nearly three years, taking away all that they have done to make Runscape a better game. Also, think about the gold farming that will take place, and the real world items trading that will occur because of it. Why should people be allowed to buy their wealth on Runescape? That is one of the major ways that differs Runescape from any other online game-- we cannot buy our wealth!
Arguing that the return of the wilderness and free trade is a bad idea, is quite hard, as the majority of people(at least in the referendum) are saying that they want this. But in my opinion, I think that the wilderness and free trade is way over-rated and that many Runescape players are voting simply because their friends are urging them to do so. But anyhow, a vote is a vote, and now we see a 90% majority of votes that want the see the return of the wilderness and free trade. As I've stated above, i think that this is not a good idea at all, and as a Runescape member that has been paying for many months, I hope this is well thought through before any change is done.

I can see where a lot of players who do not want the old rs back are coming from, it was neve going to be a nice place out in the wildy was it come on? i mean with old wildy other players kill you, and then somebody has something they can use or money to go out and buy things with,
ALTHOUGH with this current wildy, you pretty much get owned by revs if your deep enough into wildy then the revs LOL at you, leave your items, money, what ever you have then, your in the same position if you got killed in the wildy by another player...
All in all im not fussed which wildy i get killed in, its pretty much inevitable anyway. So good luck to which ever wildy we have. :)
I like the idea of bringing back the old free trade though, i loved how often my friends would give my stuff or money, for no reason at all... but with this trade, what can be give? 45k of what ever if you have enough quest points... and i just find this whole trade scheme at the moment entirely lame.
I was one of the people who voted in the poll...
and the refferendum has also got my vote.

I dont know why some of you guys are saying that they should move the resources out of the wilderness if they change to old wildy. Rune deposits used to always be out there, the abyss was always out there, and so have the greens drags. Please shut up about changing something even though that is how it originally was. I did my share of green dragon killing and abyss runs before they took away the old wildy. You people complaining have been babied so much, you dont know what real danger is.
As for the free trade, I hate being told what something is worth and being limited to trading in that value. U know what? I paid to play this game, i should get to decide whether i give my friend something REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY EXPENSIVE.

But then the poorder guys will sell a dfs for 40M insteed of 30m. It are the poorder one's who rule the price econemy. Not the richerds. Also rich guys dont sell there stuff so much often. They just let in bank ( maybe its handfull on a time)
They already got there cash. Dont need anything els. So why sell..
If ur a pker u dont buy a party hat. Thats the point.

RS pvp is one of the worst I have ever seen in a game, so will never enter the old wilderness if you bring it back. If I want to do pvp, there are much much much much better games out there for that. I play to do other things, for example, I do slayer tasks a lot, so please relocate slayer content from there.
Standing around trying to buy and sell items for hours is not what I find fun in a game, either. Buying and selling is key to the economy though, so it is a necessary evil. All MMORPGs have markets, so I am glad you are planning to keep the GE, the good ones also provide "price watch" information. It would be nice if the GE smomething similar.
You shut down the wilderness and free trade for a reason. It would help to tell those of us who were not around at the time the exact reasons why you did what you did back then for the vote. We really don't have any context for what we are voting for or against. Which makes me wonder how much of the vote is based on real knowledge.
You've eluded to having better bot prevention, detection, or something-or-other now. Is *hat one of the big reasons you had for eliminating free/real-world trade/wilderness? If so, are you really niave enough to believe that you can stop bots? I am a java/c++/c# programmer, I know the windows API, and I've developed device drivers. LOL!!!! You can't stop bots! There are tens of thousands who have the same skills I do that are ready and willing to use them to exploit your game. I play to play, but many of the others dont care if they ruin your game for everyone else. It's a never ending battle, and in the end a losing proposition.
