Free trade could go a long way to put an end to merch clans controlling the economy if we lose our dependence on the GE and start trading with each other instead, setting our own prices and offers.
Then with PK as it is, we have 76k tricks which is a nothing more than huge GP falling from the sky on these people.
Maybe both systems are broken, but which of the two would you prefer?
Free trade and Wilderness PKing at least gives the game more interest and challenge. Maybe it won't be all about who bought what skillcapes anymore. Less focus on 99s and more focus on gameplay has to be a good thing.
Tbh, I'd much rather bargain with a woodcutter than put in an order on the GE.
And with Wildy back, think how much your potions and food will be in demand. Skilling makes a comeback.

Wildy is supposed to be dangerous place to go, if you want a peaceful place, I suggest you to go chaos tunnel or lumbridge is the peaces* place in runescape.
Secondly, people are not blind. They can double check first before they click the final button to aceept the trade.

Either way the petition is messed up, being able to vote for other people just makes it very inaccurate. Despite some horrible mistakes in the past I don't think Jagex is dumb enough to look past the fact that people can make script* that go through highscores to find usernames and constantly vote. Just seems fishy to me.

Half the ppl whining werent even on when this stuff existed and cant comprehend that these things existed before wildy was nerfed.

Even my dad thinks the game was way more fun back then becaus of the risks of scamming etc. He got scammed a lot of times but thats the soul of the game as it was...
Yeah i think it also keeps you on edge in the game, not really in a good way though.
the scammers on the streets do sortof relate to the time period this game is set in, people were so poor that theyd always play tricks on people at the receivers expense, or robbing them.

On the topic of green dragons: Bots used to inhabit green dragons (sometimes gold farmers, arguably), but there used to be the sport of killing them! That was fun, and it limited the green dragon bots/farmers. If the ability to kill on all worlds returns, that will as well :)

I could care less how the "vote" works or doesn't. The supporters of bringing back the old wildy and free trade, are NOT just an extremely vocal MINORITY... That's the point. Let chaos rule!
I've never pked and probably never will. I MISS PKERS! Yes, trying to kill me on my run to the Abyss! That danger was fun, and I vote to bring it back. Not "on some worlds"!!! The whole point is that everybody has to endure it; player killing is not the only thing to do in RS, but segregation is boring. Revenants blah! The danger wasn't fun because you could die... the danger was fun because OTHER PLAYERS could try to kill you! And if they succeeded at least they got your stuff!!(not like losing it to an npc at all) I don't want to go back to classic but the pvp wildy, right on!
Enough of fixed prices! There is more to merchanting than playing the GE stock market; what about selling items at jacked up prices in areas where they're more needed? Enough of people begging for a single item like a rope or a law rune and then trying to pay exactly the GE price.
The GE brought a stable mass trading environment but the Trade Limit killed diversity!
