When I went to the "voting" page, stopped for a second, looked about then started to lmao!
How typical, of JAGeX, to over think something to the point that they lose sight of the concept, of voting.
JAGeX *needs* to hire someone, anyone, with a little common sense and wisdom. It seems twenty-somethings just don't have "what it takes".

I am wondering where the "no" option on the poll is...
I played RS back when the old system was in place and I found it very difficult in many ways. The Exchange and trade limit system works far better for selling things as you can find buyers much easier and it keeps people from scamming each other.
The wilderness is the big issue. Unless it is contained only to certain worlds (which would be pointless considering there already ARE PVP servers, why do they need the Wildy too?) then doing things such as Stealing Creation, Clue Scrolls, quests like All Fired Up, Slayer tasks, and those who haven't yet got the teleport ring to Daemonheim (or are running back from dungeoneering) are going to be at the mercy of high-leveled players who will all congregate on the unsuspecting and make going to these activities nigh impossible.
It was removed for a reason, was it not? If it isn't broke, Don't. Fix. It.

i am also pondering the validity of the "sea of votes" coming in that are for this update, i really hope jagex thaught ahead about multi-voters and have a way of sifting through these votes.
otherwise, this mayaswell be a concrete decision right now. because these numbers a amazing me.

How nice, we may vote if we want the old wilderness back (no) or free trading (yes). So I went to the page to cast my vote. What are my options? Yes on both wilderness and free trading. That is no voting! Now the moral majority will be those who don't vote. So everybody on vacation, or on a leaf from playing Runescape will decide the vote. This is no democracy. But then Jagex is not run as a democracy ;)

I believe the voting system needs to get nerfed and replaced with a better one. I know plenty of people who voted much more than 1 time. This whole vote should mean nothing until every vote can be accounted for to be actually legitimate. I would personally love to see the free trade come back, but not if it's a unanimous vote because everyone voted 50+ times. I do not support this at all until the voting system has been revamped.

hi,i just found out that there are people out there going through hiscores using people's usernames to vote!
make it that you need to use your pass to please,i dont want someone using my name to vote on something i dont want to happen

When I first read this on the Runescape home page it caught my eye instantly. From being an old player (2004) I have seen many changes through out this game. I have adapted to every one of them.
In my honest opinion this game was better in the era of free trade and old wild. I have noticed that forums now are packed of people because of this. Before this there was about 600-700 people on forums a day, which isn't much. Before g/e and the first Bounty Hunter crater there was about 2k+ people on forums all the time.
If old wild and free trade were to come back more people would honestly start playing again. This game was popular for being the only game with a pvp system of getting your opponents gear/items, which is very unique. Now its based on luck, yet you might risk your bank for a few hundred K.
So all in all I highly support the coming back of old wild and free trade.
Thank you Jagex for giving us the chance to get old wild and free trade back.
