Free trade will let the community control the economy. This adds a new dimension to the game.
I don't understand how people think this is going to make prices do anything other than what they should. The formula is very simple. ..
its simple until the merchants get in control. they artificially create an artifical demand by buying up the ores at a lower price, forcing buyers to pay more. if an supplier offers to sell at the same price, he only has a limited supply of both product AND TIME. because the merchant does nothing else, he has plenty of time, and can under cut the supplier until he gives in and sells at his price. this is usually 30 percent less than what the buyer sells for. in the old days, they had calculated exactly how much they could sell it for so that only one items could be used to make money, and that was the best items. in mining, that was runite (if you were a merchant and sold to f2p, you could make money) and cannon balls. cannon balls took 3 times as long as anything else, but would at least return your money. the only ones that could afford to do smithing (you got half the exps smithing the ores as you get mining them) was merchants.
Auricg, we already have guns in the game, we dont need anything that would ruin the game like better guns.
frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.
