You know, looking back to what trouble those two caused, I have a bad feeling this is not going to end well. Sure, the free trade would be nice to reclaim, but then there are the numerous problems that can reoccur. Scamming, dramatic increase/decrease in item prices, and the return of real-world trading. There are sites out there that are actually preparing for this or have been. In honest truth, that's sad to go with that plan...
Return of the wild...that's something I still avoid. Although, keeping the revenants would be nice. That would at least give people who need to do something in the wild some safety from the clans of people trying to destroy them with ancients and godswords.
For whatever direction that this poll goes, I hope that there are some hidden updates to make sure that it contains some of the fairness that is shown now. The Grand Exchange should remain to prevent prices of items from going too high or too low in price. Free trade will hopefully have some kind of prevention for the real-world trading and scammers. Return of the wild...just more advise to stay away from there.

To be honest, im excited. But at the same time im not. I am totally in for the free trade thing. Because that way I can give *tuff to my really good friends that need it. But the wildy is something i dont want. all the killing again. Thank god i finished the summers quests. But what about the clue scrolls? Idk. Hopefully Jagex really works this out

Stevie that is a very good thing, having a million gp should be impressive, it is a very large number. Today there are far too many ways to make upwards of 500k per hour and everyone has loads of money, everything's just out of proportion.
It should be hard to excel at a game as big as this one.

According to the first post of the poll, it was mentioned that quests that are in the wild or require going there, clue scrolls, and any other distractions out there will be redone to fit the ease of players. Thankfully, I did the quests out there.

How are so many against it?
Look, I hate RWT as much as anyone. But don't you folks realize that Jagex could cut that down so far, so easily?
Simply make memberships tradeable between players. Their free market price will be very high, naturally...folks who might have originally bought RS coins with real money now just buy a membership and sell it for oh, 10M or more, which, as I just found out, is quite a bit above going rates for RS coins on the market.
Then again, I think memberships would sell for quite a bit more than that, even.
Not that I would engage in any of that. I'm rich enough by my own means, and by getting lucky buying a red h'ween way back at 16.7M. ;)
Personally, I prefer the wilderness as it is now. I think revenants are a great way to make the wilderness properly dangerous (though you might sauce em up a little, and I think adding some way to make purposefully hunting revenants not only more challenging, but rewarding and therefore fun--I smell a minigame...) without allowing peeps to prey on others.
It's kind of a toss-up right there for me. While I don't want to be attacked in a PVP area when I don't want to fight PVP--say, running to the Abyss--it does add a more realistic element of danger to the region.
Cause, really folks, there's Bounty Hunter, and whole PVP worlds, for heaven's sake. PKing is so not dead--what IS dead is being highwaymen, preying on those who don't wish to compete. I'm just not sure if that should stay out the window or not.
Now I am certainly looking forward to free trade. No limits, no suggested prices! I mean, think of it! With GE prices, whole SKILLS have gone completely out of profitability! You can't barely smith for money; you can't do herblore or fletching or crafting for money. With free trade, and in time, those things can become profitable again without becoming too much so. The laws of supply and demand will still hold, bolstered by the (free trade) GE.

you are one of the people that evidently think there should be methods of money where you can make 50m in a day with no effort?
Clue scrolls are meant to be challenging, that is why when they were brought out the ones that promised greater rewards were placed in the wilderness.
The idea that you should risk a little in the hope of earning a lot is the idea that the game was first based around and since free trade and wild were taken away the game has sort of lost it's meaning. It was by far the best game to play before they took wild away but since then it's been mediocre cause it's far too easy to excel and make easy money.
There is no longer the exciting element of risk in runescape which once made it a great game.
