I remember a certain Mod who gave away his halloween masks and his santa but not his party hats to people he knew the day before free trade was removed
apart from that, the only unfair thing ever created was the grand exchange
its practically scamming, in real life you would go to jail for insider trading etc, clans were born on merchanting this way, and it has become so heavy I have never known so many people to have 100m+ in my entire time playing rs, and i been here since 2004
anyway I am fully for the free trade, players were honest apart from those idiots who had their friends call out silly numbers and offering buttons from members worlds to people for whips lmaoo, I used to merch Rune scimitars, made millions too, bought them for 28k sold them for 35k, thats how easy it was, all you needed to do (pre 2007) was go to world 1 or 2 and varrock west bank had lots of people outside with dedicated areas selling their goods at much lower prices than now, we are like the USA only without debt, everyone is so damn rich a player that starts at level 3 with no wealth will hardly reach the heights of those who gained their wealth through the grand exchange and insider trades
