This is definitely a topic that will generate a lot of discussion.
I support free trade being brought back. :)
P.S. I am beyond excited that this is even being considered :D
P.S.S. How will the grand exchange work once free trade is brought back? Will we finally be able to see who we're buying and selling from?

Maybe Jagex wont count the 237 votes from "ooby hooby1" but instead they see I have voted atleast once so they count my 237 votes as One.
They dont have to tell us every exact detail on how they will count the votes, and maybe they want wildy back? who knowwss.. =D

Since I have played, 2005- Present
I, along with my entire clan chat, am completely stoked about this! I hope to *** this actually happen in the near future.
I fell in love with Runescape during the "Good" ole days of Pk'ing in the WILD (Which, in my mind is suppose to be dangerous! Not like what it is today with just a small danger of revs.), and the Free Trade! Free Trade was amazing. I Loved the old runescape, and have just found my self "Going Along" with todays..
You could reward someone in your clan, or a good friend with a nice prize of a few mil. Rather than give them 5k like you can today.. "What am I suppose to do with 5k?!".
Also, Since 08 I have been pure Free2Play, because of those changes in 07. IF this actually goes back to the old days, I will most deffidently be blowing off the dust and buying membership for my old combat accounts again! ^.^

I...I...wow...is this really real? O_o Where on earth did this **me from..? Do not get me wrong I think this is awesome, I love the idea of gaining back free trade and everything, but to me this almost sounds too good to be true?
Have you really combated the rwt and botting problem to the point where this can be done? I am sorry but this really just came out of nowhere...I strongly suspect this isn't real and is something just something that may be used to get a point across...but I wouldn't see why they would get people hopes up like that?
I mean what is with the voting system, I love that yes is getting lots and lots of votes, but I would prefer that this was done fairly with everyone equally giving their vote...not just people spamming yes. If it were to return this would be a big change because let’s face it a lot of people have become accustomed to the new Runescape.
Anyway I'm just rambling on, kind of overwhelmed at the moment...but I voted yes and I will be watching with interest what happens with it...

oh i voted so fast you cant beleave how happy i am just hearing that its possible to bring back my glory days back when i was only a noob haha. runescape has changed so much and its good to go back to are roots :D but only thing that concerns me is what will happen to the GE? will it be turned to an Auction house or something?

i thinks it got to the point were jagex has made it as good as possible without the wilderness and free trade.
i personally remember finding it imposible to cut a willow log anywhere in runescape due to botters, and i hate to think what is was like in f2p.
As for the wilderness, the drops are decent enough to get by if a bit annoying sometimes *** it did put a massive stop to botters.
On the trade limit not too bothered in hind sight, useful for trading it over from other accounts, and to be honest, i was never in a situation were someone wanted to give me something for free that was over the trade limit.
If this vote does get passed then i hope to god you do not remove the ge, the thought of spending hours on end at seers bank trying to buy something compared to this ge system is frankly not one i want.
also i dont think this poll is very reliable, anyone can type my name into it even if i didnt want to and there is no vote 'no' which i find a bit strange, just boycott it.

Being able to put up items in the ge with any price you wish would be amazing. Just saying. Then the whole "merch clan raising base prices" would be completely ruined as well.
Kitteh I R L. You said that jagex has made it as good as it can without the free trade and wilderness. That's actually a huge problem. Without improvement this game goes nowhere.

Rubbish. A lot of pkers took great pleasure in killing new players for the hell of it. The new players usually carried nothing the pker wanted. They were lured and killed just to annoy them. Lots of new players left the game after lures and scams. The wilderness ditch had to be built to try to help newbies being lured into the wild.
