XTL - While yes, there were 4 posts, you've now presented the reason as to why you declined them. They really aren't serious enough for a need for moderator intervention, and moderator intervention on the thread as it is right now might be more disruptive than your reply explaining the reason for decline.

If they continue to argue about the choice to decline their application, you are welcome to ask for a further evaluation of this but at the current moment, no moderator intervention is necessary.
