Because rather than contributing to Jagex's loss of wealth which results in them pointlessly raising the membership price, we could instead help fellow players out by donating our money to players in need to help give them a decent start.

I'm disgusted that all the rich and maxed players choose to donate their money to a gold sink that doesn't even help the already-ruined economy that will ALSO dump thousands of dollars into a fund that doesn't even confirm that it gets the donation from Jagex.

The well of goodwill is shady and if you actually care about this game, you'll do the right thing and help fellow players out instead of giving Jagex a reason to raise the membership price by three whole dollars.

Also, I won't be donating to the well either -- I'll be donating to many, many players.

My thoughts exactly.
The fact that people aren't willing to trust the Well enough is upsetting, to say the least. Yes, membership is going up, but face it, so is everything these days.
Most recurring members will probably have a grandfather rate anyways.
This helps real people guys, and for what it's worth, Runescape won't last forever. At least these poor kids the charities help will enjoy their childhoods more.

With the current server aka ddos problems, which are still occurring, I say boycott this event and dxp weekend.

This is an on going embarrassment for Jagex and they are trying to make something good of a severe problem. No point in dxp if you get lagged/logged out constantly.

As for the well of goodwill, how can we raise money in game if the above constantly happens.

BTW, lagged out 5 times writing this message.

Update - 20 minutes after this message, Australian servers crash, go Jagex go....oh yeah
