I can't seem to find the answer to this simple question that i thought would have been addressed upon jagex's release statement. Will current bonus xp stack with the double xp weekend?

Example.
If i have 100,000 bonus exp normally i'd gain a total of 200,000 exp if i used it all up.

During the double exp weekend what exactly would happen?

Bonus experience DOES NOT stack with double experience on the weekend.

I haven't seen an official quote of this but going of past records, this is how it played out.

Bonus experience will be frozen for the duration of the weekend, whilst you gain double, and after the weekend it will resume being consumed by your activities.

Why doesn't jagex just give everyone 99 everything and be done with it.
That's cool jagex I enjoyed spending money on prayer, herb, summon before all this double exp, bonus exp.

It's like when Toontown closed, they gave everyone free full membership. Jagex is giving out free XP because the game is closing soon. Think about it, the Elf City opening after 10 years of teasing, the gods coming back to Runescape, now all the XP... everything is wrapping up. jokes

Gonna use this for Divination, I went on a massive Divination streak a little while ago. I think the cape looks lovely.

it was my understanding that bonus xp weekends suspended other bonus experience that you had but double xp weekends didn't, or is there no longer a distinction between the two?
