I was trying to reach a jagex mod for the last 90 mins or so... But I have an urgent issue.

I understand the return items program developed is down for Lord knows how long.
but Meanwhile I know I intentionally played victim to this scam. They could be attempting to scam many other's and play even more acts of destroying what trust is left in the rs community. I don't expect anyone to jump on it asap however did catch all 3 of their names and their real accts and the alt acc for this scam that has worked on quite a few people and made a few pvm friends of mine quit. I risked asc bows because I have nox bow replacement so it's not my entire bank I gave up to catch this scam in action I'd be more then willing to tell it all more via message center or such but I would greatly appreciate if someone attempted to address this scam with the 3 users and yes I reported them but I just want to make sure someone catches this first hand. I did it bring a stop to this scam that has made numerous rs players quit!!! So even if you can't return my asc bows for proving this scam is real and has worked on many people I'd be happy just with a proper punishment for the 2 people involved in such activities in the rs community.

Intentionally playing victim isn't advised due to what you lose, but the best thing to do is report it as it happens which I see you mention you did already.

The Jmods will take a look at the report and handle it as they deem necessary, your report will contain the names if you got them all therefore I don't think you will need to forward them.

The Jmod team only returned items if you lost them in a 24hr period and if it was the result of technical problems which in your case did not happen. So you most likely will not get your Asc bow back since you willingly risked it and knew what would happen.

Both the below statements are taken from the Wiki, which you may be familiar with :) .

Do you return items?

In short, no. We have been trialling a process which allows individuals who had been hijacked or scammed to have their items returned to them. During the trial we were able to return items to more than 700 players.

However, it has become apparent that our tools are not designed to be used in this way and the system is unsustainable. As a result of this, the team have made the decision to pause the Lost Item Restoration service indefinitely.

Also;

Lost Items: Please note

* Due to technical limitations, we're currently unable to return items on Old School RuneScape.
* We can only return items which were reported lost within 24 hours, outside of Service Disruption.
* Items will only be returned to your account if we're able to 100% verify they were lost from data contained within our system information.
* Screenshots do not count as proof.

You did risk it willingly and I believe that is a different situation which is not covered by the returns procedure. As you reported it, Jagex will see how it happened and what the scammers do so regardless it will be actioned appropriately :) .

I also advise you edit your post as saying how it was done on the forums gives others an idea how to use it. Thus helping possible scammers use the same technique. Your report will get looked into and what needs doing will get done.

I suggest we end the chat here as it is derailing the purpose of this thread.
