Im really unhappy about this.
At exactly 1pm BST i logged into rs3. Clicked on redeem bonds. Couple of tries said it was unavailable at this time. I kept on trying and it eventually worked.
I searched my desired name and it was available.
I clicked Change name.
I clicked Confirm.
"Server currently busy, please try again later"
I kept on trying. (7-10times)
Once again I clicked change name.
The name "#######" is already taken. "Try one of the 3 stupid recommended names below"

you think you got it bad? first batch was a good 9hr lag. second batch the name i wanted was taken in the first 10min. then lag seemed to die down.

now unless jagex is going to announce batch 3 will come out tomorrow, they'll probably do silent releases.

They did say that they will give an announcement for any batch release 24hrs before the scheduled time. which means it won't be Aug 20th something around noon (BST).

maybe the next time will be at a downtime like 3am BST to reduce lag where most players in that timezone and some others are asleep? I like that idea. heart that jagex? release during downtime while most people are asleep to reduce lag to nothing!

i wanted to check some name availables. i tried 'a Mouse' to check if it was available. but it said 'could not check name' so i tried to click on the button change name. now i have this name and i don't even want it... please can you reset my name to my previous name called "soo holy".

I don't think they can do that but they might make an exception, considering it is a name you didn't want.
