The jmod tells you to stand still and you will be stamped. You follow these instructions and it doesn't happen. If you don't see how this is discouraging and unfair because those who are listening are not getting stamped at all, I don't see how to explain the problem to you. The jmod also does choose where to hit the button no? So they can choose to exclude players.

In the crowd of hundreds of players, they're pretty much just spamming the button (which also moves them around as they zip around stamping). It seems extremely unlikely that they're stopping to take extra effort to specifically avoid people.

Sure, some people are luckier than others and so by random chance get stamped sooner rather than later, and similarly by random chance some players don't manage to be manage to be randomly chosen out of the hundreds upon hundreds at these events, but in the end that's all it is, random chance. It's not jmod favouritism or whatever.

I am 99% certain the mods aren't playing favorites. I mean at 10 players per button press they'd have to be speed readers. You could simply retaliate by blending into a big crowd.

Sometimes we see patterns where there aren't any, whether it be the devil in 9/11 smoke or JMods singling people out for some unknown reason. No one is the center of the universe, we are both infinitely valuable and totally insignificant simultaneously.
