Seems to me if you really want to do this, you could wake up a smidgen earlier, or stay up a bit later than normally -- instead of biching about how the hours are inconvenient. USA here, no problem. It's plenty flexible.
Yes, I can. However, I can't just walk out of work saying I need to go play a computer game. That kind of thing tends to get you fired.
people in the uk are still at work at 3pm bst.
get over it.
I do work in the UK. And I'm not beyond altering my sleeping patterns for the game. That first stamping session happened the morning after I pulled a 12 hour night shift and I fought off sleep for two and a half hours at home so I could get that stamp!
I just think that for a multi-nationally played game, special limited-time events like this would be better organised into smaller, more frequent instances. Like, every 6 hours. 6am, 12 noon, 6pm, midnight. Most people have a continuous period of 6 hours during any given 24 hours where they *could* take some time out to go on their computer.
Fundamentally for me, it doesn't matter. I got the Wilderness one done today on a world with 50 people in it. I got the flashmob one stamped off on the first day. There's nothing left on that list that I can't do myself in my own time, or that can be interfered with by disruptive players (Nobody can kill *that* many ducks constantly). I've only got to find a few minutes time on 17 more days this month, even if I miss *every* other stamping session out there.
But this game isn't about me. It's an MMORPG, and the MMs are what matter. There are going to be some people who won't be able to complete the task list without some JMod help and it's for them I suggest this. You can't make it perfect for *everyone*, but I think it would help cover significantly more of the player base than now.
The Empty Lord is a figment of the imagination of gullible people who started worshipping the purple Elder Bathrobe. The name and symbol comes from the washing label: Za-ros means "Do not dry clean".
