I received a random monkey survey via my personal email you have on file and the extension is [email protected] not a.runescape

It asks a lot of personal questions and a mini questionnaire to determine our mind set which I found disturbing.

I am uncertain this email came from Runescape and even more concerned it arrived to my personal email address.

Can you confirm this is Jagex attempt to obtain opinions on mobile applications in progress?

I placed my query here since road trip is all about getting the monkey.

Jagex will never send emails to you they will only contact you via official Runescape message that you will see in your inbox when you log in. What you received is not coming from jagex, you should scan your computer for virus and key loggers and keep an eye on your acct that is how ppl accounts get hacked

I agree with amp, that doesn't sound like a legit email. Make sure you have a pin to help slow down hackers from getting your bank.

Scammers can easily make an email show a faked source, or they can just use a source that sounds legit. The first can only be avoided with careful study, while the second can be avoided by carefully checking the link of the source. One easy thing to check is the word before the last "dot" before any slashes. For official rs sites, this is "runescape" or "jagex". There can be additional trickery in any links as the words you see in blue aren't necessary the actual destination; you can find this by hovering over the link or by right-clicking and checking properties.
