how are people supposed to be on for most of these. just make an npc called "Jay Mod" or something as clever, and let them tick things off.
I was going to suggest this myself, until I saw your post.
Seems so simple?
Maybe it's too simple for the staff at Jagex?

That could work, but make them roam around and occasionally teleport to another location entirely like the ghost penguin. Make players work to hunt him down (and prevent any one area becoming too crowded for too long.)

why not update the first page after you discussed and planned everything?
Agreed, I asked if the Opening Post would be updated back on page 11, but no response.
As of right now, it's a little over 15 minutes to the next one.
They'll get away with it this time, since the announced location is Lummy Castle, people will look around and see the crowd in the crater. But still, if it is now 3 worlds, is the listed one still happening? And what are the other 2?
And what's going to happen after all those people head off to Falador Sq tomorrow morning? The forums will be inundated with threads of ''
Where's the jmod?!?
''
Of course this can all be solved and avoided by updating the schedule.
But that seems too easy a solution for them .....

Here's another viable option:
The jmod scheduling goes ahead as is, but the square the jmod is standing on is blocked for the time they are there, stopping other players/familiars etc from blocking sight of him/her. (although I still think familiars etc should be removed from the immediate area for the duration of the event)
Then all a player needs do would be have ''request a stamp'' checked in their journal, and then simply to have clicked on the jmod to get it.
Problem solved.
