I just gave eoc an honest try...finished the lumby training. Quite frankly, at 1st I thought it was a bit "clumsy", but after getting the hang of it...it's not too bad. I "think" I like the ability to drag abilities to my bar. I certainly like the effects of some of them. With time I will become proficient with all the new tools and I will be just as dangerous as I ever was lol. Thanks R S you are doing fine!!!!

do you speak for everyone????? I think not. The only message I get from your comment is that you are not tough enough to adapt!!! was R S easy for you when you first started? didn't you fumble and stumble around until you got the hang of it? eoc will be the same way. I think I am a fairly competent player, but the simple little lumbridge training course made me look silly a couple times...but, perseverance pays off. Give eoc a chance, it has the look of a really great game.

EoC is the worst update this game has ever had. I read the transcript and all i can smell is bs. Seriously its like listening to a dictatorship wwho blatantly ignore everything around them because of there own selfish vision.

Whoever signed off this EoC change should be shot.. actually hung drawn and quartered...

I did however find it rather *unny when reference was made to someone threatening to quit because they removed the smiley face on forums. Like that compares in any way to this.. Silly Mods.

I just gave the EoC another try an I must say .. I think its terrible an have full intention of canceling my subscription on multiple accounts when its official. It should remain optional.. ;_____; @zorasoul

I have been on the evolution of combat along with my friends we all have the same opinions.

The people who want this change are all World Of Warcraft players..

Runescape has always been this way, and you have your playerbase because of it,

Look at rift ( a copy of world of warcraft ) Its playerbase is a few thousand, they don't get much income and are completely going down hill,

the new Evolution Of Combat completely defies what runescape about, its not about the spam clicking of skills and trying to kill people / things with 50 abilities. Its about being able to click and attack, click and eat, and spec with your spec bar, The Simplicity is everything, I have played most MMOR**'s (WoW/Rift/Diablo's/Mortal Online/Darkfall/Ultima Online)

I have always come back to runescape because the way its designed is the most fun.

I do think some of these updates could be applied to the game, (the effects of the abilties and maybe a couple of abilities like the spec for mages (like the tidal wave ulti)

I Love runescape, i pay an active membership to this game, and i have seen so many people preparing to leave what is an amazing game.

If you are so determined to bring out EoC, hows about you change it?
Make it like this.
Runescape Classic/ Runescape 2 / Runescape EoC

You can transfer on them etc and the way you get thigns are still the same, the only difference is each player has there own type of game they wnat to play.

If people like EoC so much, you would have more people on the beta than on the games.

The only people who like it are the forum lovers ( people who are okay but spend most of there time on the forums)

You're playerbase is ingame, its the players who have been loyal to you since the opening of runescape.

Please, im begging you to stop this update, before you ruin the game and make runescape crash.

The old RuneScape was far and away the best example of a true MMORPG to ever exist. The world we played and lived in resembled the real world and the medieval world it emulated on so many levels, that it felt incredibly lifelike. A real community developed revolving around competition, rivalry, companionship, trust, the majority of which has vanished along with any sense of reality. The realistic economy which existed up until the initial removal of the Wilderness and the Grand Exchange was unparalleled and gave the game a balance where time had to be spent bargaining and developing economic skills alongside training and everything else. Ever since the GE was released all you have to do is go there and buy raw materials to train the non combat skills, while combat skills are made much easier and quicker because purchasing food doesn't involve contacting your mates who worked as merchants (developing money-management skills actually useful in the real world,) or finding someone to sell them something. This game once had real value, and wasn't based on the economic imperatives which govern the running of the game. Andrew never would have allowed this game to turn into a place where you can literally purchase EXP and where special 'double xp weekends' are held. The premise of RuneScape was once to actually accomplish something, with an even playing field for all. The only money they received were from advertisements, and later on from paying members by charging a very reasonable amount to get extra benefits. Every update prior to 2007 was balanced to the game, and the framework of RuneScape was sound. Ever since things have deteriorated, with the current Jagex CEO having never played or experienced the old RuneScape, himself having first played the game in 2008. This is sad, and the commercialization of the game is therefore not overly surprising. In a world such as ours dominated solely by money, this is sad but true. Remember the good old days. Peace out
