Mike, Got it and agree with the updates. Again as I have previously posted you have removed the competition piece between players when it comes to combat rating. More specifically melee. As I carry a rubber chicken one of the old guys :) I have seen many variations of the game. Now it seems if a lower level player reaches 99 defense and attack then they are maxed out for combat level at 200. Before it was few 99's and then 138's running around now everyone is a 200. It used to be a goal to achieve. Now it is pointless it seems. I was wandering if you planned on realigning the combat rating. You have combat skills for a reason they should be reincorporated in the overall combat total to set players apart and give them a goal. Do not overlook the competition between players when it comes to their rating. It drives lower levels to play continuous to achieve this. Defense/ strength/ attack/ ****titution- seems like at 99 that would be 396 total. Of course those are the basics. Range/ Magic and prayer are stand alone. Just saying. Thanks

EOC IS HORRIBLE. And you have "awesome updates" that wasn't compatible with the old system? How is that, the combat system hasn't been balanced since 2008*
** combat now plays like some old arcade game from the 90s.

Hi Jagex. I have been playing the game since 2003 and I must say that I simply adore the game. However, I seriously do not fancy the new changes with the EoC. It is extremely difficult to fathom, and it has completely changed the game dynamics (unfortunately) for the worse. You might want to consider switching back, or at least reducing the extent of the changes to the game, or risk losing some of your die hard fans, including myself. Apologies for my ranting.

I dont think canceling our memberships has as large of an impact as you think it does; They can just compensate with more micro-transactions. Personally, I can see much more desperate attempts at them on the SoF and Solomons store... There will come a time when they will actually start selling things that give boosts or benefits even so slightly. I cannot for the life of me figure out why they had to take out the old combat system. You can't think of any other way to "fix" it so you just take a wrecking ball to it? What does that say about Jagex as a game developer? You can keep the new animations and graphical updates, maybe even the action bar for skilling, but get rid of these ridiculous abilities and bring back the old combat system. I don't believe there was anything wrong with the old combat system, as a matter of fact it's the same combat system that has lined your pockets and made this game as popular as it is.

I'm not speaking just from a corporate/economic standpoint, you have seriously ruined this game for some people who have put a lot of dedication into it and enjoyed it a lot. I won't claim to have any statistics, but it would appear that a majority of the players do not like the EoC at all. If not for the sake of your company, at least think about your players for once. I know a few people who are really, really depressed over what you've done to their game. You probably won't read this or will ignore it because you are lying to yourselves and trying to be optimistic by only paying attention to the positive feedback (minority).

Let's face it, there's a fine line between optimism and ignorance. Which side of that line do you reckon you're on, Jagex?

Eoc sucks. Trust me, if u think not resubscribing doesn't affect them, ur dead wrong. I'm never gonna be a member again because of EOC. And I want to do a little experiment. For 1 month, I'm going to be logging in at certain times and record how many ppl are playing. I'll post up all the numbers to show u how Runescape activity is doing. Numbers will go down. You'll see.

^ I totally agree with you joe. Eoc is crap and if anyone says othwise is blind. If i wanted to play a high graphic and cool combat sytem game, why not pay the extra $5 to play WOW? Besides, you alos got to take into count that the most of those poeple who are on the servers are bots.... So even when the numbers drop, you only count 1/3 of them as real players. I have been playing this game since 2005 and loved it even up till the EOC. But now it sucks to see it go down the crapper. Goodbye RS2!
