Also, will you also post them on Twitter? I regularly socialize there are it would be great if it were there as well as Facebook. ;)

Potentially we could do that, we'll see when the time comes :)

So is 'Artwork must relate to either the Gnome, Dwarf or Pirate quest series' really the only subject parameter for the contest?

Come on! You have to give us SOME hints on what you're looking for! =P

Are we attempting to create characters/items/models/etc that you guys will cameo in the quest, or are we attempting create characters/items/models/etc that you guys will model some of the quest content after?

Or is it just that we're trying to make the coolest possible relevant stuff? =P

The specific quests are indeed the only real guideline here, though I think you may have misinterpreted the focus a bit :| . We're looking for your artwork to help show off the quests you want to succeed in the video poll. We're not asking you to design new content or create new character models, just show us your creative skills to help highlight the quest series.

Examples of what you could do:
  • A portrait of one of the main story NPC's
  • A Poster for one of the quests
  • A rendition of your favourite scene

We really want to see your artistic skills in action!

Does the artwork have to follow preexisting quest lines, or can it simply be abstract ideas having to do with the race of our choice? If the new quest has elements determined solely on the content of the winning artwork, will your decision on the winner be swayed at all by anything you already have planned?

It has to relate to the quest series in question, but that doesn't mean you can't put your own spin on it.

The next quest in the series won't have any influences from any artwork posted, the decision of which quest gets made next is based on the views on the video (linked on the main page). We're looking for your artwork to help show why the quest series of your choice (From the Gnomes, Pirates and Dwarves) should have the most views.

The winning artwork will gain the owner a prize but it won't have any impact on the new quest design. Hope that clears it up a bit.

Hello, I just saw this post today (thankfully to the FaceBook page post), anyways. Can I submit a sketch based on this topics?
So basically a sketch with shading but no computerized coloring? As I'm quite busy since I'm preparing for my finals now.

Thanks Mod Crow :-)

NOTE: Is it possible sometime for any of the Jagex staff to do some tutorials on how to colour digitally on Photoshop? Thanks.

I'll try my best ofcourse, but incase I can't draw my idea on the computer, my vote is on the pirates.

Make sure you watch the pirate video to register your vote! The decision will be based on the video views for the three options.

It redirected me to another video in youtube about a pirate saying I made the right choice. Only problem is, I don't know if that actually registered my post or not. Anyway, wish me luck and I hope the pirates win! ;)

You can send in any artwork you like! We'd recommend sending a complete image though.

I'm not sure that's something our art team have time to do but there are tons of really good tutorials online!
