This is all very interesting. I mostly frequent the Future Updates Forum, and so almost everything I post concerning 2013 updates has a source in one of these two Q&As. I honestly hope that more will come out soon. My mind is itching for more knowledge or at least hints and clues that will help me flesh out my speculations!
I have greatly speculated Archaeology as a new skill for 2013 and used "Fossil Island" as an article of evidence for this, but now that I have re-read what has been said about Fossil Island, it rather contradicts that point in my ideas.

Also it makes me happy to see that signature in my post above, knowing that it eventually succeeded and now we do have a lore forum.
Shame the thread died though. You can only fully appreciate a story when you experience it through the eyes of one of its characters.
