I tried to visit. I've been playing runescape for over 11 years but it was just too laggy even on lowest settings. It's a shame people feel the need to make things worse by refusing to get rid of their pets or summoned familiars or by repeatedly spamming @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

sad face didn't get a code on mah birthday D: I was fast too I dont see how others got codes faster than me since I was print screening but oh well. better luck next time :P it was a big RS bday part hehehe :P

You can't pop the balloons, you can't tell who's a Jagex Mod and who's not.
There is way too much lag to do anything, even with graphics set to low.
Everyone is in the redeem code screen which blocks the chat box so we cannot see any golden crows, therefore false players shout out false codes.

This is not fair, and it is not fun. The party takes place in one of the smallest areas of Runescape. Hundreds of players stuck inside the same place, many walking with pets and setting up player cannons. I have not seen greater lag outside of the Grand Exchange.

I've been here the whole party... still haven't been able to get anything (or even move around). So, consider this my resignation to the 12 years of Runescape anniversary party.

Next time host the party at Varrock Square or Party Pete's Mansion.
AND NO PETS ALLOWED! I am extremely disappointed. Only thing I enjoyed was the spawns and the fireworks. I would love to get 200 runecoins, but looks like it's not going to happen. That aside, Happy Birthday Runescape.

Well I'm not exactly going to rant about the runecoins just saying its a bit unfair, I know how to redeem but I'm not sure if i'm entering it properly, whether or not I have to put dashes in or what.

Heres a example of one the codes:

Which is it?

Would be nice for a J Mod to reply whether we have to use capitals or dashes or what, its a question on many peoples minds but it seems to get ignored. A reply would make me very happy :)

I wish there was better planning with this event. Many people will attend just for rewards which will lead to a sour'd event if most are left without something. Community Events shouldn't always be about the rewards but more to meet with others in some fun activity.

This event sure caused lots of disappointed, butt-hurt, spamming, disruptive whatever players. The odds of someone winning each of those times are very slim. It's almost like 1 of 100 users will win if they're lucky with typing and lag.

I miss the good ole events like Sabre's New Year, it had absolutely no rewards from it but a giant turnout because people liked to party and see a JMod as well as meet new people. It certainly didn't lead to loads of upset spamming and disruptive rude languages from players at the end...
