If I wanted to be more violated, I would commit a crime, go to prison, and constantly drop the soap in the shower.

N T Y, Jagex. Your pitiful 200 coins are not worth the damned headache.

If you were smart (since 200 doesn't buy much of anything), you would give them to everyone within a reasonable "zone of attendance," thereby potentially expanding your model of addiction that you so carefully crafted with the Squeal of Fortune.

@Fireofhell4;
"Never saw Sushi talk once."

I did not hear Mod Sushi Pi say the codes either... But I believe it ultimately depended on where you stood in Draynor village. I had no idea Mod Sushi Pi had already arrived (what time, etc). My computer had lagged out at one point, and that point was possibly the time when he had said the codes. I finally found him beside/underneath a dwarf cannon/familiar... I followed him, but did not physically 'see' him. I only got a chance to hear him say goodbye, come to the next party at 6pm GMT and happy 12th anniversary.

You've got to remember that when there are so many people in one area, only the players directly around you are loaded into the client.

The only solution is to walk around and find the mod; once you've found them, follow them so you're always within a square of them. This will allow you to see what they're typing.

Get there a few minutes early as well so you're able to find them prior to the codes being announced!

Well the 1st one was a joke to say the least; f2p worlds will be free of cannons/fams/avatars/pets, but I imagine they'll be even more players, so probably end up almost as laggy...on the upside the world servers themselves shouldn't be as bad, which will help.

Not sure how Jagex underestimated the amount of players that would turn up so badly though - runecoins are only obtainable via real money outside of things like this, so obviously tons of people are going to want them, it's not like they're easily obtainable in-game, and they're certainly not cheap either considering the prices of pets and cosmetic packs like the assassin and dwarven warsuit packs.

Of course, the overcrowding only makes the codes being released in public chat worse - it means people have to find the Jmod in the crowd before they can even take part, and even then they have an incredibly low chance of getting anything out of it.

Although I unfortunately missed the call of the codes by Mod Sushi Pi for the Runecoins, I enjoyed the lovely display of fireworks, the hula dancers, and the party animal-balloons! I did not know what to expect, because this was the first time I had ever attended a party of that sort. :)

These are only suggestions for the next party, as suggested by a few other players as well:
~(To J Mods) -- Make a grand entrance by walking around, stating you have arrived, etc. (I read your post, Mod Sushi Pi, about there being so much lag and such, but I and several other players, did not even see you, nor know you were there until 30 to 40 minutes later, or until after the event was over.)

~(To Runescape Players) -- Try to set your graphic settings to as low as they can go, and turn your Public Chat to either Friends or Off. (Just like Player Mods, Jagex Mods' text appears through the 'Friends' or 'Off' settings, due to their Silver and Gold Growns. Silver for P-Mods, Gold for J-Mods.) This will help reduce, at least, a small portion of the lag from the players that spam the chat.
~(Also to Runescape Players) -- You must be as close as possible to the J Mods to hear them call out the codes... (Literally in the next square/space beside them, or the square they are standing on) or else you will not hear the codes being called out.

~(To both J Mods and Runescape Players) -- By the J-Mods changing a few of the worlds to Non-Member ones, this hopefully reduces some of the lag from the Member Objects. (examples: Banners, Pets, Familiars, Dwarf Cannons, etc.) Plus, Non-Members have an opportunity to meet a J-mod and have a good time at the party too; the event is not excluding them from the fun!

Hope these tips helped, everyone!
HAPPY 12TH ANNIVERSARY TO RUNESCAPE (All players && Jagex staff)! ^_^
