On the one hand, if George Sampson really does play RuneScape, that's fantastic. It's great to see someone I look up to like that (his dancing and acting career) also play a game so close to me.
On the other hand, I've seen enough recent updates such as the SoF to know how easy it is for Jagex to lie through their teeth. And I'm sure it wouldn't take much to bribe someone into doing it too. As I said, I've seen his acting, so I know that could easily have been faked. If it is a lie, it's a very sad one.
In terms of the EoC, I'm of a mixed opinion. The animations are simply incredible, no doubt. The game seems a lot more personal and feels like a proper GAME now, rather than just a grind-fest.
However, I have my doubts. It is obviously changing a massive part of the game, and in September or whenever it's being implemented, I won't be playing the same game I am now. Many people (though I'm not included in them) really enjoy the current combat, because it is unique. They believe it should stay that way, and should not become a WoW copy.
Edit: I've just realised something very odd. George said he had his dance moves recorded. However, those kind of things require a weird suit with orbs (actually very similar to Jagmotion), or look at how Gollum was animated in The Lord of the Rings. I highly doubt you use technology that does not require that kind of embarrassing outfit.
I'm just a man; I'm not a hero.
Just a boy who had to sing this song.
