I must say its a shame how many people are scared of showing themselves on youtube.
Nothing against those people, more its just a shame they are made to feel that way by society/youtube comments or whatever.
That said, I dont think youtube is required (?) at least, theres other less "comment spam" filled services out there.
Also, what WAS said on this thread is you dont have to show your face - you could, for example, film a glove puppet talking into a camera. Its creativity they want, not technical special effects*
*which is a shame, as I am awesome at special effects.
