"I sent in a video for this competition. I dont see why so many people are afraid to show their faces on Youtube. They already show their faces on Facebook, Twitter, Google plus, and all other manner of social media. My suspicions are that they dont want to show their faces to Jagex because they're under 13, and therefore are in violation of the age restriction to make an account on RS, thus risking their account getting banned"
Firstly, you have some control over who sees you on social media sites. A picture is a thousand words, but a 45 second video at 30 fps is 1350 pictures, a lot more for people to criticize... and dont forget that you have to talk, adding another thing into the equation.
Second, making a video is effort and requires learning new stuff for some people. If you, like me, work 12 hour night shifts, then you wont want to spend a couple of hours making it.
Finally, some people simply might not want to spend time and effort for a 1 in a million chance of saving £270 (£4.50 * 12 * 5), id rather spend a pound on the lottery when im buying a packet of cigarettes
Now, get of that awfully high horse, you might hit your overly large head on the skybox

If you mean related as in you can win a signature from this competition, it doesn't look like it. All the necessary information regarding this video-competition has been stated in the first post, including the rewards (signed concept art, featured edition T-shirts and 3 x lifetime membership).

Ahh... It's been quiet the journey Runescape... I remember going to Lumbridge on F2P and offering to make new players free armour. I got two things from this; smithing experience, and long term Runescape friends, some who have even surpassed me in skill.
Gee, it's been years... Here's to many more to come, see you at 300mill, congrats!
