Thought I'd just pop in here and clarify a few points and address some questions asked.
When we planned this competition we had no way of knowing how many tattoos would be won, although we did know they would be rare. The easiest thing for us to do would just to be totally risk averse and not run the competition in the fear that on some weeks there would be no winners, but we'd rather take a calculated risk and bring the opportunity to win the lifetime membership to the community - so we did.
It's also worth bearing in mind that not everyone who wins a tattoo will post on this thread, I can say with 100% certainty that there are tattoo winners who have not posted, and again, that is largely beyond our control.
I'd also like to clarify what we will do in the event that nobody posts in a given week, if that happens the competition will continue, but we will add the lifetime membership prize for that week to the available prizes for a future competition, so either way the lifetime memberships will end up being won, one way or another.
Finally I'd like to clear up the whole discussion about the winners being Jagex staff and the competition being rigged, I can guarantee that everyone who posts here with a tattoo is a genuine player who has won the item legitimately. We simply have no desire or reason to fix anything, this competition has legally binding terms and conditions and as a company we pride ourselves on applying an ethical and professional approach to things like this - it's simply not the 'Jagex way' to rig things and mislead people.
