Well that does seem like a good thing to do. I am having trouble giving up my pirate hat for a Santa hat but I'm sure it will happen closer to Christmas.

I just checked and found that the googles competition will close the fift January. So I'll get a chance of winning in that competition too.

You should get on over to the Stories Forums again. I remember a particularly spicy Wintumber contest from you in '09 that I'd love to see repeat again sometime, whether it be this holiday of the year or not.
I believe your team is working with a dedicated collection of Forum Moderators to bring us a few special contests recently, but there really is nothing like a member of Jagex posting there. Heh, maybe you could even open a contest for us one time to draw in the crowd, even if you let the Forum Moderators take over after that.
Keep it up. Feel free to spread that around to all of your colleagues.
