to be honest with you guys, I think MMG meant this thread as a sign of goodbye to his friends chat, and him thanking the ranks and regulars who have continued to support the chat up until the past few months or so.
What I'm trying to say is.. I think it's kinda disrespectful you people try to take out your hatred on the current issues that has displeased the majority of the RuneScape community on his goodbye thread to his friends chat that he's had opened for the past 2-3 years.
As for me, I thank you greatly MMG, even if I've never had a chance to talk to you or you not joining in much, your chat is what got me the best friends on RuneScape I could have possibly met. So for that, I thank you.. It's truly been a truly wonderful experience with it's ups and downs over the years.
As to the people who joined the MMG Chat, nice knowing you guys (even if we never met :) ) It's been a hell of a ride. Goodluck to you all.

I'm dissapointed to hear this. I will miss Mmg clan truely, But there are other chats out there to look for. Or just simply make your own. Hope everyone understand Mmg and what he said.

Being a rank in your friends chat channel for almost a year and getting to know yourself and the community was a great honour. Thank you for providing such a great place to relax and chat.
It was very disappointing that it came down to the conclusion of being closed due to spamming and disrespect for the community. We were trying our very hardest to keep the peace, and i'm sure from all the emails you received you would know of the majority of what happened while you were busy.
We all knew that being the CEO you would be busy with your work duties. And on behalf of myself and all the other ranks we thank you. If you hadn't opened your friends channel I wouldn't have met half of my friends today, who are now in our clan :)

What Magiq has said is completely true.
This is a thread for the ex-regulars to say goodbye to the chat, and maybe catch up with each other.
If you would like to have a little rant about how Mod MMG isn't spending enough time in the community, this is not the right thread, nor the right forum.
Next @Americaz, I do know what a CEO is so don't try to make me out as a numpty please.
MMG was busy even for his friends chat he wasn't in it. SO indeed if he cared much more about his friends chat and was EXTREMELY rarely in there, he wouldnt have time to respond to your little smart comments about the game.
Can we please keep this thread on-the-rails. You trolls/spammers/ranters/ragers are derailing it with your comments about the game and community.
It isn't MMG at fault but the community, you expect so much. Yes I guess Jagex isn't living up to everyones expectations, and I can understand how frustrated some of you are because MMG makes a thread about his friends chat, and doesnt "take" time to bother with your comments.
It is only curteous that he made a thread about closing his friends chat down so that regulars, and ranks would know why it wasn't existing anymore.
I'm really dissapointed at how people have used this thread to vent their frustration at MMG and Jagex. I'm quite annoyed at Jagex as well, but this isn't the right place.

Firstly, Thank you to Namia for posting the QFC of this thread and bringing it to my attention.
Secondly, Thank you to MMG for originally opening his chat and allow it to be a place for players to have a chat whilst skilling or whatever.
Also and more importantly a huge thanks to all the regular ranks that were in there and tried to keep the place from becoming overloaded with trolls, even though they just changed account and came back. Ranks tried their best but sadly it wasn't enough.
Fortunately, I still keep regular contact with a lot of you, but to the ones I don't, I wish you all the success in-game.

Seems to me that this became more of a chat for a group who became friends, despite a lack of visits from the chat owner.
Could you not set up a new chat for yourselves? The lack of MMG in the name of the chat would give you respite from the trolls and haters you seem to have suffered in the past.
Perhaps he might even visit you when the fear of MMG flaming is lessened.
