Here is my idea: Ruk (r-UH-k). say it with no movement of the lips, with minimal movement of the tongue, with most of it resonating in the throat. This should produce a low, harsh pronunciation, with reverberations on the "R". Ruk is a good name for two reasons. If hobgoblins had there own language, I would imagine it would consist of mostly of harsh words. Also, note the similarities between "Ruk" and "Rock".

Hi everybody, here are my suggestions;
(In no particular order, I like them all equally)
1. Kir'ok - A little different aesthetic with this one, the "Kir" is quick and sharp but the "ok" compliments the keeness with an earthen tone (without the ' - accent mark - it might sound like Kee-rock).
2. Gulvan - Short and blunt, but also modest and humble (if it doesn't remind you of sea gulls and vans).
3. Nordred - This sounds rather more friendly than the other two (to me, at least)... Almost like "Norbert."

Was trying to think of a better word to indicate some magic attack, but 'Grub' was all I came up with. Seems more like Range, but ah well, lol. You can only fully appreciate a story when you experience it through the eyes of one of its characters.
