Well King Keatz, I think I'll just run you down with what you'll need
A decent soundcard (comes with the computer. If it's not decent you can blame any noise that you cannot attribute to any other source on the soundcard)
Audacity (Google it!)
A microphone (You can also use earphones. No guarantee that your set will work.)
Alright. Download and install Audacity. It's a minimal yet decent sort of DAW/recording program.
Buttons are self-explanatory. Inverted triangle = Play. Square = Stop. Circle = record, etc. Sorry if I sound condensating.
Record!
Save as .wav for maximum quality when you're done recording.
Tips: Put a sock on your mic to minimize the stress you put on say your p's and t's. The stress usually sounds really noisy/windy.
Noise correction (not perfect, sounds really filtered and processed but still somewhat effective) can be achieved by playing around with the Audacity Noise Removal Plugin (youtube it!)
